Alain Wasserfallen

Alain obtained his PhD in biochemistry at the University of Geneva in 1989. His started his career as a microbiologist at the University of Illinois with a Biotechnology Fellowship of the Swiss National Science Foundation, before moving to Institute of Microbiology at the Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich in 1991, where he continued to work on the biochemistry and genetics of strict anaerobes. In 1999 he took another assignment as Institute Manager, overseeing the whole administration and inventory as well as biosafety, gaining experience in procurement, budget control, personnel management, and -as a deputy- IT technologies.
He joined Mirabis in April 2009 as Head of Administration and Compliance. He is also a member of the Compliance Team and reports to the Board of Directors.
